Freelance Writing
A note from Christine about her writing
As you will see from the writing samples below, my work is eclectic. It's been published in national and regional periodicals, trade publications, newspapers and academic journals. I have found niche markets for numerous articles.
I am a member of the Professional Writers Association of Canada (PWAC). I use its Freelance Writers Agreement guidelines when completing contracts with clients, editors and publishers. For more information about the association visit the PWAC website.
Feature writing is my strength but I enjoy all types of creative, non-fiction writing. I enjoy telling the story and I enjoy meeting people in all walks of life.
Whether it's a full-length article or a short advertising feature clients are pleased with my work. Their stories have been told and their products or services have found customers.
Essays published in academic journals are based on my research in the areas of mothering and women's health. For more information visit the website of the Association for Research on Mothering.
My style is both personal and professional and has been described as being written to give the reader a "certain level of comfort". I follow the Canadian Press Style Guide, and others as instructed by the client or publication.
If you'd like to have further information or to discuss writing a story for you, please contact me.
